Chuck Testa is a taxidermist from Ojai Valley, California. While he has been a taxidermist for nearly 30 years, a well-known internet Internet meme was launched in 2011 due to the popularity of a commercial for his business, Ojai Valley Taxidermy, that became a viral video.[1]
The commercial was created by comedy duo Rhett & Link. The plot involved people believing that taxidermied animals were real before Chuck Testa corrects them by loudly proclaiming "Nope! Chuck Testa" over the course of the minute-long advertisement. The video went viral after a Reddit user linked it, starting a trend of photoshopping Testa into various images.
Time Magazine included Chuck Testa in Top Memes of 2011, as a part of Time's Top 10 of everything [2]
